Hi, I’m Sumedha Tak, the founder of That Romeo. The idea for the brand first bloomed during an almost-solo trip across Europe—a time when I let my artistic instincts roam free. With every city I wandered, I knew deep down that I wanted to build something soulful—something that reflected both my roots and my dreams.
Growing up in Jaipur, the heart of Rajasthan, I’ve always been enchanted by color, craft, and the quiet poetry of handmade details. The culture here taught me to see beauty in imperfections, to celebrate sustainability, and to never waste what can be turned into wonder.

That Romeo is my way of weaving that vision into the world. Think: dreamy dresses with Kantha stitches, statement jewellery crafted from brass, hand block prints that echo heritage, and tote bags that carry more than just your essentials—they carry stories. And because I hate throwing things away, I turn leftover fabric and scrap materials into wall art, wallets, and one-of-a-kind accessories. Waste, in my world, is just a new canvas.

But this brand isn’t just mine.

It also belongs to Gutlu—my tiny, tail-wagging co-founder. Since day one, he’s been in the studio, overseeing every design, every dispatch, every tea break. His energy, loyalty, and (very serious) quality control rituals are unmatched. We even launched the brand on his birthday—because he is the Romeo behind That Romeo.
